◆ WHAT THE PRESS GIVES BACK
COLLECTOR TIERS
Six rungs. Each one holds everything below it. The top four are seated — when the seats are gone they are gone, the same covenant the editions make, applied to people rather than pieces.
◆ THE FOUNDER MARK
FIRST LIGHT
Hold a piece from Drop 001
Closes when the first series closes. It cannot be earned afterwards, at any price.
KEEPER
Hold one piece
You hold something the press made.
When a drop opens, you get the email before the site changes.
- — The vault, and the ledger answering for your serials
- — Hand a piece on, with its chain of custody intact
- — Notice when an edition opens
SEALED
Three pieces, or $750 committed
Enough that it is a collection, not a purchase.
You see the drop 24 hours before it is public, and you are asked what the next series should explore.
- — Everything below this rung, plus:
- — The early window — drops open to you before they open
- — A say in what the next series explores
FORGEMARKED
Six pieces, or $2,000 committed
One hundred seats. The first tier that can run out.
When 36 pieces have 90 people wanting them, you are in the first 36.
- — Everything below this rung, plus:
- — Allocation priority when an edition is oversubscribed
- — First refusal on proofs and press variants
- — Your seat number, held for as long as you hold the tier
PLATEBEARER
Ten pieces, or $4,000 committed
Fifty seats. Named for what happens when an edition closes.
Once a series closes, one retired plate is pulled as a proof and offered to this tier first.
- — Everything below this rung, plus:
- — A retired plate's proof, offered once per series
- — Direct line to the press on commissions
COVENANT
Sixteen pieces, or $8,000 committed
Twenty-four seats, for the length of the covenant.
You are asked what a one-of-one should be before anyone is told it exists.
- — Everything below this rung, plus:
- — Invitations to one-of-one commissions before they are offered
- — A standing allocation on every drop, for as long as the press runs
THE INNER PRESS
BY INVITATIONBy invitation only
Twelve. Never advertised, never applied for.
You see the series before it is a series, while it is still a decision.
- — Everything below this rung, plus:
- — A hand in what gets made, before it is decided
- — The first piece of every series, before the drop
HOW IT WORKS
- HOW IS A TIER REACHED?
- By pieces held OR by what you have committed — whichever comes first. Never both.
- WHAT IF I SELL A PIECE?
- Your seat stays yours. A seated tier is granted on the day you earn it and it is not recomputed, so handing a piece on never quietly drops you or admits a stranger in your place.
- WHEN DOES A SEAT FREE UP?
- When someone gives it up. Seats are refilled from the lowest free number, so the numbering never drifts upward — the seat you take is the seat you keep.
- I QUALIFY BUT EVERY SEAT IS TAKEN.
- Then you are not admitted yet, and the page says so rather than pretending. Qualifying and being seated are two different things.
- WHAT DOES SPEND COUNT?
- Paid orders on this account. Guest checkouts have nothing to attach to, so sign in before you buy if you want it to count.
The ladder begins with one piece. Everything else follows from that.
